Find your inner harmony with Pranayama

Pranayama im Sommer | Ayurveda Parkschlösschen Health Blog

Alternate Nostril Breathing (Anuloma Vilom):

Place the right thumb on the outer part of the right nostril and the right ring finger on the outer left part of the nostril. Meanwhile, the left hand is in a Chin Mudra placement (thumb and index finger touch the fingertips and form circles, while the other fingers are stretched out) on the left upper thigh.

Breathing: Breathe deeply once out and in. Then close the right nostril with the thumb. For as long as possible, breathe in and out through the left nostril and then hold your breath for a while. Then close the left nostril with your right ring finger and breathe through the right nostril as long as possible; then hold your breath for a while. Over time, increase the length of your breaths and the time you hold your breath.

Effect: This exercise leads to a calming and harmonisation of all the Doshas.
